Time for Asana: 11:00am-12:30am Hawaii, 1:00pm-2:30pm PST, 4:00pm-5:30pm, 10:00pm-11:30pm CET

During this four day workshop you will immerse yourself in the practice of Iyengar Yoga alongside the complimentary study of Patanjali’s philosophy of Sadhana (spiritual practice).

Through the integration of theory and practice, you will discover the ways in which BKS Iyengar’s methodology has been subtly infused with the ancient wisdom of the Yoga Sutras.

Detailed instruction on the principles and practical methods will be provided, to assure your practice is in alignment with the foundational spiritual principles which Iyengar yoga has been built on.

Teachings will include a multifaceted picture of “sadhana” or spiritual practice, something which BKS Iyengar himself portrayed as holding four aspects:

  • Shodhana (purification)
  • Shoshana (integration)
  • Shobhana (auspicious demonstration)
  • Shamana (calming and heart centering)

The teachings will also draw from the four modules taught in the more extensive Patanjali Yoga Sutras course: Yoga psychology, The two wings of Yogic discipline, Contemplative practice, and Meditative deepening.

Please note that the original workshop was planned at the Iyengar Yoga Silent Dance Centre (, but enrollment will now be processed through Vidya Institute.

  • You will also receive a video recording of the live session which you can review later, and have access to for 4 days after the completion of the class.
