“Tapas is sustained practice, performed with passion, dedication and devotion” (Iyengar, 2005)
Since ancient times, both yogis and Ayurvedic practitioners have emphasized the importance of a vital agni for robust health – not only physically, but mentally and energetically as well. As with prana, it is a vital force of our subtle anatomy.
According to Yoga and Ayurveda there is within us both an interior digestive fire called jathara agni, and one of the mind and spirit known as tapas. The former supports digestive health, the latter the higher levels of mind and intelligence.
During this workshop we will explore the many ways in which we can keep our body, mind, and spirit in prime health through the fueling of these inner fires.
